'Not just another cycling film' was the brief for this project. Drawing inspiration from the surf and skate world and looking to combine cycling with the world of extreme sports, "Riding into Freedom" is the second film project CURB created for Australian Ultra Cyclist Jack Thompson. After becoming the World Record holder, for the most kilometers ridden in one week in 2020, Jack had now set his sights on breaking the fastest known time (FKT) on the Portuguese N2 route. With a major role in Portugals history and stretching from Faro in the south to Chaves in the north, the time to beat was approximately 28 hours over the 738 kilometer long N2.
CURB assisted in the creative process and story lines leading up to the film as well as creating the entire documentary, teasers and photography for both Jack and his sponsors.
"This is the second time I've worked with Matt and I can honestly say that he went over and beyond to create the best end piece possible. In addition to the main film, he was eager to help with producing extra content pieces for social media to help drive interaction. A great guy to work with, I would highly recommend Matt for both small and large film projects"

Equipment sponsor BBB Cycling requested a short spin off film of the N2 record attempt. Showing both their newly launched FUSE sunglasses as well as the brands cooperation with Jack Ultra Cyclist. Among with several photo's to complete the launch for Social Media, CURB delivered the film above.
As part of the launch of "Riding into Freedom" several teasers were created. To address the many cyclist the two teasers were edited with a total different tone of voice and look. One for as an Instagram & Facebook post the other an Instagram story. Both were also cut up to work as Reels.
